I have found that the best characters are created organically from your life. They are your family members, friends, neighbors and co-workers.

Our first and most important step in writing is to choose characters that we love. Once we have done that, the writing becomes easy. You enjoy spending time with them in their world and writing about their adventures.

The characters for my romantic comedy series have come from my family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, ex-boyfriends and everyone that I have ever met.
